PAC Holdings Marks 20 Years With ‘SCALE 2030’ Roadmap for African Investment

PAC Holdings Marks 20 Years

PanAfrican Capital Holdings Limited (PAC Holdings) has marked its 20th anniversary with the unveiling of “SCALE 2030,” a new strategic roadmap designed to guide the group’s next phase of growth and expansion across Africa.

The milestone, commemorated at an executive media parley in Lagos, brought together the leadership of PAC Holdings to reflect on the institution’s two-decade journey, its evolution across multiple sectors and its vision for the decade ahead.

While the anniversary provided an opportunity to look back at how far the group has come, the unveiling of SCALE 2030 placed the focus firmly on the future—particularly PAC Holdings’ ambition to deepen cross-border investments, expand its presence in frontier economies and participate in sectors with significant potential to shape Africa’s economic development.

Two Decades of Growth and Transformation

PAC Holdings was founded in 2006 through the consolidation of legacy subsidiary businesses from Spring Bank to form Spring Capital, initially operating with a focus on localised investment banking.

Over the past 20 years, the organisation has evolved significantly, transforming into a diversified investment holding company with operations across seven key sectors: Financial Services, Real Estate & Infrastructure, Technology & Payment Systems, Agro-Allied & FMCG, Healthcare, Hospitality & Entertainment, and Renewable Energy.

The group has also facilitated landmark transactions across more than 35 countries, working with governments, financial institutions and private enterprises across sectors critical to Africa’s economic development.

This evolution reflects the changing scale and ambition of the institution—from its early focus on investment banking to a broader model centred on identifying opportunities, deploying capital and building businesses across strategic areas of the economy.

SCALE 2030: The Roadmap for the Next Decade

The 20th anniversary also marked the beginning of a new strategic chapter for PAC Holdings with the introduction of SCALE 2030.

The roadmap is designed to accelerate the group’s growth, deepen its market penetration in frontier economies and scale investments in high-impact areas such as technology infrastructure and green energy.

For PAC Holdings, SCALE 2030 represents a forward-looking approach to identifying opportunities across the continent and positioning the group to participate in sectors expected to play an important role in Africa’s future.

Speaking at the event, Group Managing Director of PAC Holdings, Chris Oshiafi, described the anniversary as more than a reflection on the organisation’s history.

“Twenty years gives us an opportunity to reflect on where we started, what we have built and, most importantly, what the future requires of us,” Oshiafi stated.

He emphasised that Africa continues to offer enormous opportunities, while highlighting the importance of capital, strong institutions, strategic partnerships and businesses prepared to create value over the long term.

That philosophy is central to the thinking behind SCALE 2030 as PAC Holdings looks to build on the foundation established over its first 20 years.

Building for Long-Term Impact

The group’s leadership also highlighted the relationships and partnerships that have contributed to PAC Holdings’ growth.

Deputy Group Managing Director, Sina Alimi, underscored the role of people, partnerships, businesses and opportunities in shaping the institution’s journey.

“As we look ahead, we are focused on building an organisation that can identify opportunities early, deploy capital intelligently, and build businesses that endure,” Alimi said.

For Group Executive Director, Eric Okoruwa, the group’s contribution goes beyond the financial value of the transactions it facilitates.

“Beyond transaction value, our contribution has been about building confidence in markets, strengthening institutions, and creating pathways for investment to flow where it is needed most,” Okoruwa said.

These perspectives provide important context for SCALE 2030, positioning the roadmap not simply as a growth strategy, but as part of PAC Holdings’ broader ambition to contribute to Africa’s economic transformation.

A 20th Anniversary Experience Designed to Reflect the Milestone

The significance of the anniversary was also reflected in the experience created around the event.

The executive media parley was planned, conceptualised and executed by Tantacom, a 360° brand experience company focused on creating meaningful and engaging experiences for brands and their audiences.

Tantacom handled the event planning, ideation, execution and guest experience, helping translate the significance of PAC Holdings’ 20-year milestone into a cohesive event experience.

The objective was to create an occasion that reflected the stature of the milestone while providing guests with an environment through which PAC Holdings could communicate its journey, achievements and vision for the future.

From the overall event concept to the execution and management of the guest experience, Tantacom’s role was centred on ensuring that the occasion communicated more than information—it created an experience around the story PAC Holdings was telling.

Turning a Corporate Milestone Into an Experience

For an organisation celebrating two decades of growth while simultaneously introducing a roadmap for its next decade, the event served as an important storytelling platform.

PAC Holdings had a significant story to tell: its transformation from a localised investment banking business into a diversified investment holding company operating across multiple sectors and markets.

It also had a new vision to introduce through SCALE 2030.

Tantacom’s involvement brought these two elements together through the planning, ideation, execution and guest experience of the event.

As a 360° brand experience company, Tantacom approached the occasion from the perspective of the entire experience—helping create a setting where the anniversary, the PAC Holdings story and the SCALE 2030 vision could come together naturally.

The result was an event that provided PAC Holdings with a platform to engage members of the media and stakeholders while marking an important transition from its first 20 years into its next phase of growth.

Looking Toward Africa’s Next Decade

As PAC Holdings enters its third decade, the introduction of SCALE 2030 signals an ambition to build on the foundations established since 2006.

The strategy’s focus on cross-border investments, frontier economies, technology infrastructure and green energy reflects the opportunities PAC Holdings sees across the continent.

Group Executive Director, Nentok Gomwalk, concluded that the strategy positions PAC Holdings to play a leading role in Africa’s long-term economic transformation.

The group’s 20-year journey has established a foundation across sectors and markets. SCALE 2030 now provides the framework for what PAC Holdings hopes to build on that foundation.

From 20 Years Built to the Future Ahead

PAC Holdings’ 20th anniversary is ultimately a story of evolution.

What began in 2006 as a business focused on localised investment banking has developed into a diversified investment holding company with a presence across seven sectors and transactions spanning more than 35 countries.

The unveiling of SCALE 2030 marks the next stage of that journey.

It sets out a vision focused on accelerating growth, expanding investment opportunities and contributing to sectors capable of supporting Africa’s long-term development.

The anniversary event, brought to life through Tantacom’s planning, ideation, execution and guest experience, provided the setting for PAC Holdings to celebrate its past while communicating its ambitions for the future.

Twenty years built the foundation. SCALE 2030 sets the direction for the decade ahead.
